I’m a regular guy in my early thirties who, in the past, has been employed by a company and earned a regular paycheck.
LIKE SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE – I WANTED TO BREAK AWAY AND BE MY OWN BOSS
I left school at 16 with no grades or qualifications and to be honest, I was pretty lost and didn’t really know where I was heading in life. I randomly landed a job at a key cutting shop and then went on to work for a proper locksmith company where fortunately I was mentored by some of the very best locksmiths in the UK.
I went on to pass my Master locksmith exam and moved from company to company each time I got a better pay offer. I was happy locksmithing but I wanted more freedom.
The downturn in the economy hit my industry hard. In 2008, the company I worked for went bankrupt. They could not pay my wages and I was now in debt.
THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A TERRIBLE TIME IN MY LIFE, BUT IT WASN’T, THANKS TO ALL OF THE KNOWLEDGE I HAD GAINED WORKING FOR OTHER LOCKSMITHS…
I always knew that if I started my own company I could do it better, make more money and work less hours. I found a way to turn that knowledge into a successful locksmith business, and in the process, changed my life.
How The Locksmith Mentor began
A LITTLE STORY ABOUT A BIG DREAM
The real power I found during that time was that I could take control of my future. Running a locksmith business from my home in Brighton allowed me to spend time building a business for me – not someone else—I realized that the things I had learned as a locksmith and in business would be a huge value to someone starting their career as a locksmith—and I wanted to share the techniques I learned with other people to help them.
When I started The Locksmith Mentor, my goal was simple: share the locksmith techniques that are the easiest to learn and get the job done fast and without damage to the locks. Also to reveal my business strategies that really work in the modern world. No longer are customers reaching for the Yellow pages to find a locksmith when they are locked out – they pull out their phone and ‘google’ for a locksmith in their area. I will show you how to start your business on a budget and build it up job by job.
I know these techniques work because they have worked for me and continue to work today
